- Week 1 Supervisor Meeting
In my first meeting with my supervisor, Dr. Judhi Prasetyo, we spoke about the project ideas I had and their practicality. I presented all of my ideas to him, and he provided input on each of them. He was able to give me a clear roadmap for pursuing each of them. I loved how he made all of my ideas more viable with some modifications. During the conversation, we stumbled upon the project idea that I am now settled with, iCue, a smart device for cue stick movement analysis in billiards, and outlined its concept and goals. Dr. Judhi provided insightful feedback, emphasising the need to prioritise both hardware precision and user-friendly software integration. He encouraged me to refine the scope of the research and work on the first-cut proposal to solidify the idea. Overall, the discussion helped to cement my project direction and provided clarity on the next steps, which include developing the hardware prototype, software application, machine learning model and conducting user trials.
- Week 2 Supervisor Meeting
This week, I only had a brief interaction with Dr. Judhi Prasetyo regarding the project due to unforeseen circumstances. During our conversation, I shared the complete project plan for iCue, which included its scope, action plan and next steps, which he approved. Dr. Judhi also provided the necessary hardware components to develop the device for my project, guaranteeing that I had everything I needed to start working on the basic setup which was very kind of him and for which I am extremely thankful. The next steps after the meeting were to complete the initial document submissions.
